The SBS Farms team finished their four-week trip to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, with more accolades and great memories to take home to Buffalo, New York.
Alexandra Smith had great success aboard Crisp in the Children’s Hunter, 15-17, section, winning a class Sunday and placing third in the Children’s Hunter Classic.
Emma Najdzionek partnered with Cakewalk in the same section and won great ribbons for a wonderful final week of showing.
Stephanie Brennan and her Del Piero continued their consistent performances in the Adult Amateur Hunters and won excellent ribbons out of a competitive group.
Alexandra Smith and Fidele De La Cour added more equitation placings to their resume, including an impressive second in the NSBA Children’s Medal.
“All the horses are safely back in Buffalo now, and we had a great time at WEC,” said trainer Emma Walters, who co-trained with Randi Byrd. “We can’t wait for next year!”
SBS Farms owner Susie Schoellkopf was thrilled with their experience at the new WEC facility. “The staff at WEC did a great job. It’s a top-notch facility with fantastic footing, courses and stabling. We will absolutely go back.”
Even though the team hadn’t shown since last November, their results were impressive and everyone made great progress, noted Susie. “I also think Randi and Emma did a super job. Together, they make a great team and all nine of the horses we sent will come back fit and ready to go for the spring show season.”
